Abstract

In the following text there will be an analytical review of three literary works that narrate the vicissitudes/peripecias of Jewish integration in Colombia: the first, a storybook Gentes en la Noria (1945) by Salomon Brainski, the second one is a compilation document of experiences, developed in two volumes Yo vi crecer un país (1974) and Crónicas testimoniales colombianas (1982) written by Simon Guberek and finally a novel El Rumor del Astracán (1991) by Azriel Bibliowicz. These three topics will be the basis for a different narrative work in Colombia, even if they are part of different genres and temporalities relatively distant, they function as an interesting opening theme that gives room for a more complex understanding of the Hebrew migration phenomenon and its correlations with local culture.
